<\/a>Billy Grant died after being struck by a car on Claremont Avenue near College Avenue in Alameda County.<\/p>\n\nAccording to authorities, Billy Grant was struck by a vehicle driven by a 21-year-old Berkeley woman in the 6000 block of Claremont Avenue.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\nGrant, a resident of Oakland, was transported to a hospital, where he passed away.<\/p>\n
\nIt happened at about 6:29 p.m. near College Avenue.<\/p>\n

\nAuthorities are investigating the crash, the latest sad example of the dangers in people walking from one place to another.
