FRESNO, CA (KMJ) \u2013 Hundreds of Fresno Unified students hold a walkout of class Wednesday.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s a third day of protest in response to President Trump\u2019s immigration policies and ice actions.<\/p>\n
The Principal of Edison High, J. L. Munoz, sent out an email to parents on Tuesday, giving them a heads-up that the school received information that students would walkout on Wednesday to protest ICE.<\/p>\n
Students from different schools left campus around 10:30a.m.<\/p>\n
Around 200 Bullard High School students walked through Fig Garden Village, down Shaw to Fashion Fair Mall, holding signs and shouting \u201cF\u2014 ICE\u201d.<\/p>\n
A group from Edison High School walked to Fresno City Hall, where they held a small demonstration.<\/p>\n
Principal Munoz in his email said that district buses took then back to school and they were in class by 1:30p.m.<\/p>\n
Fresno Unified says it does not encourage students to leave campus or miss class, saying it offers alternatives for students to express their opinions in a safe environment.<\/p>\n
Edison\u2019s principal was asking parents to \u201cplease have a conversation with their student.\u201d<\/p>\n
