<\/p>\n CLEVELAND, Ohio \u2013 Cleveland State (10-14, 6-7) connected on a program-record 17 three-pointers to overcome a ten-point halftime deficit to win its fifth straight game, 91-78, over Oakland (14-11, 10-4) on Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n Five Vikings finished with double-digit points, led by a game-best 24 points from Tre Beard<\/a>. He also dished out a game-best nine assists and had five rebounds.<\/p>\n Jaidon Lipscomb<\/a> dropped 18 points and dished out six assists. Dayan Nessah<\/a> finished with his second straight double-double and fifth of the year after scoring 15 points and adding ten rebounds. \u00a0Foster Wonders<\/a> and Josiah Harris<\/a> each came off the bench to score 12 points.<\/p>\n The Vikings assisted on 22 of their 30 made field goals and held a 39-33 advantage on the boards.<\/p>\n Cleveland State held its largest lead of the half, 10-7, when Oakland rattled off seven straight points to take a 14-10 lead with 12:47 remaining in the half.<\/p>\n The Grizzlies stretched their advantage to 21-14 when Wonders tripled at the start and end of an 8-2 run to get within a point, 23-22, at the 6:35 mark. However, the Green and White went into the half trailing 42-32.<\/p>\n Lipscomb knocked down back-to-back three-pointers a minute into the second half to pull within four. Oakland answered right back with seven straight points to push the margin out to 49-38 with 17:12 showing.<\/p>\n Cleveland State continued battling back, tying the game 65-65 with 8:25 to go and taking its first lead since the first half on a Harris free throw, 68-67, with 6:52 to go in regulation.<\/p>\n The Vikings then exploded with 12 consecutive points to extend the advantage to 80-67 with 3:48 to go in the contest. The Green and White pushed the advantage to the largest of the game, 87-71, on a Nessah dunk with 1:16 remaining in the game.<\/p>\n Cleveland State continued the momentum down the stretch to win its fifth straight game, 91-78.<\/p>\n The Vikings will take to the road on Saturday, Feb. 7, to take on IU Indy at 2 p.m.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
