Newsom said that it would bring in nearly $1.4 billion into the state&#8217;s economy<br \/>\n<br \/>The new round of awards also supports\u00a042 independent projects, with 32 project budgets under $10 million and 10 over $10 million<br \/>\n<br \/>In keeping film and television production in the state, about 8,900 cast and crew and 46,400 background performers are expected to be employed<\/p>\n<p>The projects benefiting from the tax credit awards include:<\/p>\n<p>Untitled \u201cJumanji\u201d\u00a0(Sony Pictures) \u2014 latest installment in the hit franchise<br \/>\n\u201cHeat 2\u201d\u00a0(Forward Pass, Inc.) \u2014 Michael Mann\u2019s highly anticipated prequel and sequel to the iconic crime saga<br \/>\n\u201cSunday\u201d\u00a0(Blumhouse Films) \u2014 adaptation of the acclaimed novel<br \/>\nUntitled Daniels Project\u00a0(NBC Universal) \u2014 from the Academy Award-winning producers of\u00a0\u201cEverything Everywhere All at Once\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cThe Fifth Wheel\u201d\u00a0(Netflix) \u2014 directed by Eva Longoria<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m thrilled that the new\u00a0\u2018Jumanji\u2019\u00a0movie is going to be made in California.
