BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 One person is dead after a crash in McFarland early Thursday morning.<\/p>\n
The McFarland Police Department said on February 5, 2026, at around at 6 a.m., officers were called to a report of a major traffic crash at Garzoli Avenue and Whisler Road.<\/p>\n
McFarland police there were road closures are in the area amid heavy fog in the area.<\/p>\n
The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified a passenger who was killed in the crash as 64-year-old Matilde Munoz Santillano of McFarland.<\/p>\n
The coroner’s report said Santillano was the passenger in a vehicle that collided with a truck. She died at the scene from her injuries.<\/p>\n
It is unknown if anyone else was hurt.<\/p>\n
