Take the survey (below).<\/p>\n<p>About a dozen volunteers, some of whom have lost their homes, some of whom have lost their condominiums and some of whom have homes standing, have volunteered to go with Mayor Karen Bass to speak before California legislators on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>One of those attending, Martin Hak, has put together a survey. He hopes he can present concrete numbers to those representatives with the idea of affecting changes in the insurance industry in Southern California.<\/p>\n<p>Hak wrote, \u201cWe need your input by Saturday evening. I will be one of 10 residents presenting findings in person to the California Department of Insurance, the governor\u2019s office and state lawmakers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince the early days of the fire, I\u2019ve been deeply focused on the\u00a0insurance and mortgage pain points homeowners are facing, and I\u2019m actively working toward\u00a0structural reform of California\u2019s insurance landscape,\u201d Hak said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat decision-makers still lack is\u00a0homeowner-level ground truth\u00a0\u2014 not summaries or theories, but where recovery actually breaks down between insurance, mortgages, escrow, environmental clearance, and future insurability.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis short, anonymous survey is how we deliver that ground truth,\u201d Hak said.<a href=\"https:\/\/form.typeform.com\/to\/pMNO4P1C\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Take the survey.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThis entry was posted in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.circlingthenews.com\/category\/city\/\" rel=\"category tag nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">City<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.circlingthenews.com\/category\/palisades-fire\/\" rel=\"category tag nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Palisades Fire<\/a>.
