\n\tEdiss relieved starter Ashley Sawai<\/a>, going five innings, with four strikeouts and only one walk
\n\tAlyssa Dethlefson<\/a> scored a run, recorded a hit and stole a base in her season opening performance
\n\tMarley Panziera<\/a> stole her first base of the season, while Rylee Reeves<\/a> recorded the first hit by an Aggie this season\u00a0

\n\tUsing a pair of home runs in the first inning, Sacramento State opened an early 4-0 lead after two innings
\n\tEdiss would take the circle and calm things down, keeping the Hornets off the board again until the fifth and sixth innings
\n\tIn the sixth, Dethlefson led off with a single, and after stealing a base she advanced to third on a throwing error by the catcher
\n\tDethlefson would eventually cross the plate on a Naomi Kalanetra<\/a> RBI ground out, giving the Aggies their first run of the season
\n\tBut it would be too little too late for the Aggies as the Hornets would shortly thereafter secure the 8-1 season opening win
