\n\tToo $hort <\/a>welcomed Billboard to Oakland for the Feb. 5 episode of Takes Us Out, which saw $hort bring us to Y\u2019s Choice restaurant.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile munching on some turkey wings and seafood, the \u201cBlow the Whistle\u201d rapper dished on all things Bay Area with Super Bowl<\/a> LX headed to Santa Clara, Calif., this weekend.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI would definitely get that Bridge vibe in because the beauty of the Bay is probably what stands out the most from NorCal and SoCal,\u201d he says before making some recommendations for tourists. \u201cVenture over to Ghirardelli Square or Pier 39 and hit one of them seafood joints, and the water\u2019s right there. If you feel comfortable with it, come over to Oakland and take in some culture over here.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tToo $hort raved about some of his fellow Bay Area dignitaries, as he called Zendaya \u201cfamily,\u201d Ryan Coogler a \u201csuperhero,\u201d and gave MC Hammer<\/a> his flowers. \u201cEverything a rapper aspires to be right now is what he did and we collectively condemned him \u2026 He was ahead of the curve,\u201d Short admitted of the early \u201990s hip-hop star. \u201cAhead of his time.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWith Bad Bunny <\/a>set to headline the Super Bowl LX<\/a> Halftime Show, the 59-year-old reflected on coming up on a ticket to see the Puerto Rican superstar in 2024 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, and he was blown away by the collection of beautiful women attending the show.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe went up in there, and I think to this day, that is one of the best collection of beautiful women I\u2019ve ever seen. I literally needed a neck brace the next day,\u201d he quipped. \u201cI broke my neck.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tTied to the football world, Too $hort\u2019s \u201cBlow the Whistle\u201d anthem temporarily transferred coasts as it was engulfed by the Philadelphia Eagles<\/a> fan base <\/a>as a fight song on the road to the team\u2019s Super Bowl victory last year.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cPeople of Philadelphia didn\u2019t even know the goddamn song, so it was like brand new, so I love the people of Philadelphia for that,\u201d $hort said. \u201c[Gillie] just did that, I give him the full credit, it had nothing to do with me. I flew out there to go do a little clip with him, as soon I walked up I was like, \u2018What\u2019s up man?\u2019 He\u2019s like, \u2018I bet them streams looking good.\u2019 I was like, \u2018Goddamn right they looking good!’\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tToo $hort and E-40<\/a> are also slated to hit the stage together and perform on Thursday (Feb. 5) at the NFL Honors ceremony <\/a>in the Bay Area.<\/p>\n
