Police are investigating a stabbing on the campus of Oakland University on Thursday night and are searching for two suspects who fled the scene after the assault.<\/p>\n
According to OU Police Chief Mark Gordon, the male victim \u2014- who is not a student \u2014 was stabbed multiple times outside Van Wagoner Hall and was subsequently let inside by an unidentified person. Police responded to the scene at around 8:15 p.m. after receiving multiple 911 calls about a fight in progress, Gordon said.<\/p>\n
First responders transported the victim to McLaren Oakland Hospital where he was prepped for surgery, Gordon said.<\/p>\n
Prior to police arriving, the two suspects fled in a dark-colored SUV and remained at-large as of Friday morning. Gordon said witnesses described the suspects as black men in their early 20s. One suspect had chin-length dreadlocks, is 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, and was wearing a black North Face jacket, black pants and white shoes with blue on the back at the time. The other suspect had short curly hair and was wearing a camouflage jacket with a black hood, black pants and black shoes at the time.<\/p>\n
The campus was put on lockdown following the assault but was reopened Friday morning.<\/p>\n
Gordon said it wasn\u2019t clear why the victim was on campus but may have been there to visit a student.<\/p>\n
