(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 One person was sent to the hospital after being shot in southwest Bakersfield early Friday morning.<\/p>\n<p>The Bakersfield Police Department said on Friday, February 6, 2026, at around 4:35 a.m., officers responded to a call for service in the 4000 block of Gosford Road for a reported shooting.<\/p>\n<p>When officers arrived, they found a victim who was suffering from a single gunshot wound.<\/p>\n<p>The victim was transported to Kern Medical with minor injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Police said this is an active investigation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"BAKERSFIELD, Calif.
