ROCHESTER, Mich. \u2013 Head coach Paul Rice<\/a> and the Oakland Golden Grizzlies are preparing for a local meet in Ann Arbor to compete in the Michigan Invitational Saturday in the U-M Indoor Track Building.<\/p>\n Oakland is coming off of a successful weekend at Saginaw Valley State, where junior Kylei Anderson<\/a> won the women’s pentathlon, setting the program record with 3,647 points and tying the school record in the women’s indoor high jump at 1.69 meters.<\/p>\n Along with Anderson’s performance, Catherine Leahy<\/a> led the women, running a 25.48s for a 6th place finish in the 200 meter race as Hannah Fisher<\/a> picked up a top-10 spot in the 800 meter (2:17.65). Haileigh Bissett<\/a> and Makenna Scott<\/a> wrapped up the 1 mile (5:05.90) and the 3000m (10:14.87) with podium finishes.<\/p>\n Later from the men, Oakland’s presence in Saginaw was marked by a second place finish from Ja-Van Poole<\/a> in the 400 meter race (48.51).
