The Press-Telegram area will be represented by 18 teams in next week\u2019s CIF Southern Section girls soccer playoffs, led by Los Alamitos as the area\u2019s only team in the Division 1 bracket.<\/p>\n
The Griffins finished fourth in the Sunset League.<\/p>\n
Downey, the Gateway League champions, will be in the Division 2 playoffs.<\/p>\n
Millikan, the Moore League champions, will also be in the Division 2 playoffs.<\/p>\n
Artesia, the 605 League champions, will be in the Division 5 playoffs.\u00a0 The Pioneers are 16-1-5 overall this season, which is the least amount of losses of any local team in the playoffs.<\/p>\n
Valley Christian, the Olympic League champions, will also be in the Division 5. The Defenders are 18-3-3 overall this season, which is the most wins of any area team during the regular season.<\/p>\n
Mayfair, the Mid-Cities League champions, will be in the Division 6 playoffs.<\/p>\n
CAMS, the Coastal League champions, will be the No. 1 overall seed in the Division 8 bracket.<\/p>\n
Second round games will be played on Saturday, Feb. 14. Quarterfinals will be played on Feb. 18. Semifinals will be played on Feb. 21. The CIF-SS finals will be played on Feb. 27 or Feb. 28.<\/p>\n
