FORT COLLINS, Colo.\u2013 Colby Garland<\/a> recorded a game high 21 points while playing all 40 minutes.lead the San Jos\u00e9 State men\u2019s basketball team (6-17, 1-11 MW) in a 65-57 loss to Colorado State (13-10, 4-8 MW) Saturday night from Moby Arena.<\/p>\n

The Spartans kept the game tight throughout the first half and trailed by just one point, 30\u201329, at the break. San Jos\u00e9 State briefly took the lead early in the second half, but Colorado State quickly retook the lead and would not relinquish it.<\/p>\n

Pasha Goodarzi<\/a> added 15 points and knocked down a pair of three-pointers, and Melvin Bell Jr.<\/a> contributed seven points and four rebounds. Both Bell and Goodarzi also played all 40 minutes as the Spartans had six players inactive due to injury.<\/p>\n

San Jos\u00e9 State shot 35 percent from the field and 25 percent from three in the game. However, the Spartans held Colorado State to 38 percent from the field and 22 percent from three. The Rams outrebounded the Spartans 48-28.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Garland has now scored 20 or more for the 10th time this season and the 13th time in his career
\nGarland has also scored 20 plus in back-to-back games
\nGoodarzi went 5-for-5 from the foul line, recorded a career-high in free throws made in a game
\nGoodarzi and Sadraque NgaNga<\/a> each knocked down two threes\u00a0
\nAdrian Myers<\/a> recorded six rebounds to along with a career-high four assists and three steals in the game
\nJaphet Moupadele<\/a> tallied a career-high two blocks
\nMarcus Overstreet<\/a> collected his 500th career rebound in the contest
\nThe Spartans only turned the ball over four times in the game<\/p>\n
