Connect Labs by Wexford today announced the addition of several new tenants at Aggie Square, underscoring the activation and growing momentum of Sacramento\u2019s university-anchored innovation district. New organizations joining the Connect Labs community include GABRiC USA,\u00a0<\/a>ULI Sacramento<\/a>,\u00a0Capitol Impact<\/a>,\u00a0Intellivasc<\/a>, CAGED,\u00a0Growth Factory<\/a> (nonprofit), Elyxir and\u00a0Investorfy<\/a> \u2014 representing research, healthcare innovation, workforce development, startups, investment, and civic and real estate innovation.<\/p>\n

Developed and operated by Wexford Science & Technology LLC, in partnership with the University of California, Davis, Aggie Square is designed to bring researchers, students, entrepreneurs, industry partners and community organizations together in a shared environment that accelerates discovery and real-world impact.<\/p>\n

Since opening in May 2025, Aggie Square has emerged as one of the most active convening and collaboration hubs in the Capital Region. In less than a year, the district has hosted more than 400 events, attracting over 13,500 attendees for meetings, workshops, panels, community gatherings and innovation-focused programming.<\/p>\n

\u201cAggie Square is already operating as a living, working innovation district,\u201d said Monique Brown, Knowledge Community director of Wexford Science & Technology. \u201cWith consistent programming, collaboration and growing demand for space, Connect Labs is becoming a home for organizations that want to build, partner and grow here \u2014 and this is only the beginning.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to day-to-day activity, Aggie Square is serving as a platform for high-impact, regionally significant programming. Flagship initiatives that Wexford is driving include the Women\u2019s Health Innovation Summit in partnership with Fourthwave; ARx Sac<\/a>, a program that pairs artists and researchers; NorCal AngelCon<\/a>: Deep Tech, in partnership with the Carlsen Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, GFN and UC Davis Student Startup Center; and the 2026 Biotech Symposium hosted by the Biotech TPM collaborative, which will spotlight Sacramento\u2019s growing role in the life-sciences economy.<\/p>\n

Together, programs like these position Aggie Square not just as a place to work, but as a center for convening leaders, advancing ideas, attracting capital, and shaping the future of health, biotechnology and inclusive innovation.<\/p>\n

People, Ideas and Technology<\/p>\n

ANOVA Aggie Square<\/a>, managed by GMH Innovative Living, is also experiencing steady leasing growth, with over 65% of the units occupied.<\/p>\n

Complementing this activity, UC Davis students and researchers now occupy approximately 60% of Aggie Square, bringing daily academic presence, research programs and emerging talent into the space. This integration of university activity with external organizations is central to Aggie Square\u2019s model \u2014 accelerating the movement of ideas from research to application while strengthening workforce and innovation pipelines.<\/p>\n
