Airports move people, but Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport is looking to push the envelope further by offering a free love letter service this week for travelers looking for a Valentine\u2019s Day connection.<\/p>\n
Oakland\u2019s airport partnered with Southwest Airlines, coincidentally listed as LUV on the New York Stock Exchange, for a love letter service that will last through Wednesday and will deliver cards at no charge before Valentine\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n
Over 700 letters were mailed to travelers last year when Oakland airport staff first launched the activation. Officials brought the service back with the goal of improving the airport experience.<\/p>\n
\u201cOAK is proud to create memorable experiences that make travel more enjoyable,\u201d said Craig Simon, director of aviation at the Port of Oakland. \u201cFrom writing love letters to sharing heartfelt moments, these Valentine\u2019s Day activities reflect our commitment to caring for our passengers and celebrating moments that matter.\u201d<\/p>\n
