Call Anh Phoong.\u201dAttorney and entrepreneur Anh Phoong says the slogan\u2019s staying power still makes her smile.\u201cIt\u2019s funny because it\u2019s one of those things where when you hear it, you\u2019re like, \u2018Oh, that\u2019s so cool.\u2019 But it\u2019s catchy,\u201d Phoong said.Phoong credits her husband with coming up with the phrase during an at-home idea session that turned into a marketing breakthrough.\u201cWe always talk about this one night in the hot tub. We\u2019re just bouncing off ideas,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd he was like, \u2018Something wrong? Call Anh Phoong.\u2019 \u2026 And I woke up like, \u2018That\u2019s it. Can&#8217;t get it out of my head.\u2019 And so I always had to give him credit.\u201dTen years later, Phoong has grown into a well-known attorney and entrepreneur\u2014success she says was fueled by the example set by her parents, Vietnamese refugees who arrived in the U.S. with little.\u201cMy parents\u2026 if you heard a lot of these Vietnam refugee immigrant stories\u2014came with nothing, came on a boat, came with nothing,\u201d Phoong said.She says their sacrifices shaped how she approaches work and business.\u201cI think a lot of what I\u2019ve learned in life and just about business and hard work and ethics really stems from where my parents came from,\u201d she said. \u201cThey had to work hard and make a living.\u201dPhoong is now adding a new milestone to her story\u2014one that\u2019s making NBA history. Anh Phoong Law has become the first AAPI woman-owned business to sponsor an NBA jersey, with a patch appearing on Sacramento Kings jerseys.For Phoong, a mother of three, the Kings partnership isn\u2019t just about advertising or basketball.
