{"id":172956,"date":"2026-02-11T04:25:33","date_gmt":"2026-02-11T04:25:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/172956\/"},"modified":"2026-02-11T04:25:33","modified_gmt":"2026-02-11T04:25:33","slug":"crews-battle-suspicious-blaze-at-blackstone-in-fresno","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/172956\/","title":{"rendered":"Crews battle suspicious blaze at Blackstone in Fresno"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A \u201chighly suspicious\u201d fire destroyed a vacant building on Blackstone, near McKinley in Fresno on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The blaze started just after 6:30 p.m., when crews met heavy fire showing from two abandoned buildings, according to Fresno Fire Battalion Chief Kirk Wanless.<\/p>\n<p>Crews applied water to the structure to prevent it from catching the surrounding buildings.<\/p>\n<p>Even the train tracks were temporarily shut down because of the fire, but they have since reopened, Wanless said.<\/p>\n<p>It was the second vacant building to catch fire.
