Disneyland officials say guests will continue to have shuttle service between the Toy Story parking area and the Disneyland Resort, even as the Anaheim Transportation Network <\/a>prepares to shut down its Anaheim Resort Transportation, or ART, bus system.<\/p>\n

Officials did not provide KTLA with details on the transportation plans.<\/p>\n

ATN, which moves millions of riders annually through its Anaheim Resort Transportation, or ART, bus system, said it will end all service on March 31, 2026. (Anaheim Transportation Network)<\/p>\n

ART buses have long been used by Disneyland guests<\/a>, transporting visitors from the Toy Story parking area to the resort at no cost. The system also provides paid service between area hotels, the Disneyland Resort, the Anaheim Convention Center and other Anaheim Resort destinations.<\/p>\n

ATN, which moves millions of riders annually, announced in late January that it would \u201cwind down operations.\u201d All services will end on March 31.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter an extended evaluation of our current and future financial position and exhausting all options, ATN will begin an orderly wind down of operations,\u201d the agency said in a statement on its website. \u201cThis transition will be implemented in a manner to allow for coordination and transparency as services are responsibly concluded.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite its high ridership, ATN has faced years of structural budget deficits. As reported by the\u00a0Orange County Register,<\/a>\u00a0the agency is funded through hotel assessments based on room count and rider fares. ATN has raised hotel contributions, capped at 5%, but those increases have not kept pace with rising labor costs.<\/p>\n

More than 70% of the agency\u2019s operating expenses go toward labor, officials said.<\/p>\n

The city of Anaheim explored acquiring ATN last year in hopes of stabilizing the system without requiring higher payments from hoteliers. However, city officials told the Register\u00a0they are no longer pursuing the option.<\/p>\n
