The new clinic approaches treatment with a personal approach; with rheumatological conditions having the potential to change over time, the importance of personalized care served as a key reason behind the clinic, with the hopes of addressing patients\u2019 issues early to prevent them from worsening.<\/p>\n
\u201cOpening Saint Agnes Care Rheumatology is part of our ongoing commitment to expand access to specialty care for Valley patients right here at home,\u201d said Sonya Pizzo, vice president of Saint Agnes Medical Foundation. \u201cBy keeping these critical services local, patients can get the treatment they need without delays to ensure the highest quality of life.\u201d<\/p>\n
Rheumatologist Dr. Shelley Kaur Dhillon will oversee the clinic. Dhillon formerly completed her residency with Saint Agnes Graduate Medical Education before attending University of California, Irvine.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a physician, I want my patients to feel truly heard and validated \u2013 whether that means confirming a diagnosis or simply acknowledging their symptoms are real and deserve attention,\u201d Dr. Dhillon says. \u201cI strive to evaluate and counsel each individual not just as a patient with a medical condition, but as a whole person with unique experiences and concerns.\u201d<\/p>\n
