San Diego police are investigating after a woman was found dead in a City Heights hotel room Monday night, police said.<\/p>\n

Police were called just before 10 p.m. to the La Cresta Hotel on El Cajon Boulevard near 50th Street, Lt. Chris Tivanian said in a news release Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Officers responded and found the 22-year-old woman. She was unresponsive and suffering from trauma to her upper body, he said. She died at the scene.<\/p>\n

Tivanian said San Diego homicide detectives were called in to investigate. No information about what led to the woman\u2019s death was released.<\/p>\n

Police asked anyone with information about the incident call the Homicide Unit at 619-531-2293.
