{"id":176528,"date":"2026-02-13T13:25:07","date_gmt":"2026-02-13T13:25:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/176528\/"},"modified":"2026-02-13T13:25:07","modified_gmt":"2026-02-13T13:25:07","slug":"suspected-escondido-serial-flasher-caught-star-94-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/176528\/","title":{"rendered":"Suspected Escondido Serial Flasher Caught | STAR 94.1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man who allegedly exposed himself to schoolgirls and at least one woman in Escondido in recent weeks was jailed Thursday, authorities reported.<\/p>\n<p>Hector Santa Maria Toledo, 49, is suspected of flashing the underage victims while seated in a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsandiego.com\/news\/local\/escondido-police-looking-man-who-inappropriately-exposed-himself-high-school-students\/3972113\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">parked white car near Orange Glen High School<\/a>\u00a0on the mornings of Jan. 14 and Feb. 2, according to the Escondido Police Department.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The victims photographed the vehicle and license plate and promptly reported the incident to school officials,&#8221; EPD Lt. Ryan Hicks said.<\/p>\n<p>On Feb. 4, a woman who had seen social-media posts regarding the incidents reported that she had been the victim of a similar crime while walking through a parking lot in the 2400 block of East Valley Parkway on Dec. 18.<\/p>\n<p>Toledo, an Escondido resident, was booked into county jail in Vista on suspicion of five counts of annoying or molesting a minor and one charge of indecent exposure.
