{"id":176641,"date":"2026-02-13T15:27:20","date_gmt":"2026-02-13T15:27:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/176641\/"},"modified":"2026-02-13T15:27:20","modified_gmt":"2026-02-13T15:27:20","slug":"pursuit-driver-speeds-through-la-river-with-hood-lifted-up-nbc-los-angeles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/176641\/","title":{"rendered":"Pursuit driver speeds through LA River with hood lifted up \u2013 NBC Los Angeles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A driver that led deputies on a pursuit early Friday was seen speeding through the LA River with the hood covering the front of the vehicle, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff\u2019s Department.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The pursuit began at around 2 a.m. along the 710 Freeway in the Bell area where the driver entered the LA River and drove alongside the freeway.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The driver spun out near the 710 Freeway and Rosemead Boulevard near the El Monte area and tried to run from authorities on foot.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Deputies searched for the driver in a grassy field and eventually found him, taking him into custody shortly after.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It was not clear why the driver was initially pursued.
