(Photo by Christina Merino, Press-Telegram\/SCNG)\n<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#\" class=\"icon-enlarge mng-gallery-fullscreen-expand\" aria-label=\"Expand fullscreen slideshow\">Expand<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dubbed the LA Galaxy Soccer Celebration, the event series will include Galaxy player and alumni appearances, family-friendly fan areas, youth programming, giveaways, and more.<\/p>\n<p>Other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailybreeze.com\/2026\/01\/30\/la-galaxy-to-host-multiday-soccer-celebration-in-hermosa-beach-in-july\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">cities in the region<\/a> are also planning to host similar LA Galaxy soccer celebrations coinciding with the World Cup, including Hermosa Beach.<\/p>\n<p>Long Beach\u2019s celebration, meanwhile, will also include big-screen live viewing parties, though more details on those events will be released in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis summer, Southern California will feel like the center of the soccer universe, and we want fans to have a home for every moment,\u201d said Tom Braun, the Galaxy\u2019s president and COO. \u201cIn Long Beach, we\u2019re bringing the excitement of the group stages to the heart of downtown, creating inclusive, high\u2011energy environments where families, supporters and casual fans can come together and experience the drama of world football.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After the group stage, Long Beach will take the excitement across the city with various other World Cup-related fan experiences. Specific locations, dates and times for those will be announced in the coming days, the city said.<\/p>\n<p>The city will also host a one-day open streets event \u2014 akin to the city\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.presstelegram.com\/2025\/05\/11\/residents-hit-the-streets-of-west-long-beach-for-2025-beach-streets\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Beach Streets events<\/a> \u2014 in multiple neighborhoods, which will open up streets to pedestrians and bicyclists.
