LONG BEACH, Calif. — Long Beach State turned in a dominant performance on Friday at the Rhodes Tennis Center, sweeping Stanton 7-0 to improve to 3-4 on the season.<\/p>\n

The Beach established control in doubles play, capturing the point with wins on courts one and three. Cecilia Costa<\/a> and Paulina Franco set the tone at the top spot with a decisive 6-1 victory, while Pamela Badillo<\/a> and Thea Jagare<\/a> delivered a 6-0 shutout at No. 3. After securing the early advantage, LBSU carried that momentum straight into singles.<\/p>\n

In singles competition, Long Beach State did not drop a match and won all six courts in straight sets. Diana De Simone<\/a> led the charge at No. 1 with a 6-0, 6-2 win, and Thea Jagare<\/a> was flawless at No. 2, posting a 6-0, 6-0 result. Costa added a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 3, while Daria Malaescu<\/a> earned a 6-1, 6-3 decision on court four.<\/p>\n

Pamela Badillo<\/a> secured a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 5, and Paulina Franco closed out the sweep with a 6-0, 6-1 triumph at No. 6.<\/p>\n
