The Golden Grizzlies sit at eighth in the Horizon League standings, one spot ahead of the Raiders. Oakland is currently riding a four-game losing streak, with its last coming against IU Indy on January 28.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nMakenzie Luehring leads the Golden Grizzlies and is sixth in the Horizon League in scoring with 14 points per game. Angie Smith joins Luehrin with double digits, averaging 10.3 points per game.<\/p>\n<p>HISTORY VS. OAKLAND<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nSaturday afternoon&#8217;s contest will mark the 32nd all-time meeting between Wright State and Oakland, a series the Raiders lead 23-8. The two teams split the season series a season ago, with each school winning on its home court.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nWright State mounted a fourth-quarter comeback and took down Oakland 61-57 when the two squads kicked off conference play in the Nutter Center on December 3. <a href=\"https:\/\/wsuraiders.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/claire-henson\/6587\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6587\" target=\"_blank\">Claire Henson<\/a> led the Raiders with a 17-point and 10-rebound double-double.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nLAST TIME OUT<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nThe Raiders got a massive 78-61 win over Detroit Mercy Thursday night in the Motor City.<\/p>\n<p>Wright State (8-18, 4-11 HL) will stay on the road for its next matchup in the state of Michigan, taking on Oakland Saturday afternoon. Tip-off in Rochester is set for 2 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>The win catapults the Raiders into ninth place in the Horizon League standings and currently places them out of the 10 vs 11 seed playing game. The win also marks the first road win for the Raiders since their 85-80 win at Tennessee State on November 7.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wsuraiders.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/claire-henson\/6587\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wsuraiders.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/claire-henson\/6587\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6587\" target=\"_blank\">Claire Henson<\/a><\/a>\u00a0finished with 18 points to lead the Raiders Thursday night. Trailed closely by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wsuraiders.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/ellie-magestro-kennedy\/6588\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wsuraiders.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/ellie-magestro-kennedy\/6588\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6588\" target=\"_blank\">Ellie Magestro-Kennedy<\/a><\/a>\u00a0with 16 points and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wsuraiders.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/lauren-scott\/6591\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lauren Scott<\/a>\u00a0with 13 points.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wsuraiders.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/breezie-williams\/6593\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wsuraiders.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/breezie-williams\/6593\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6593\" target=\"_blank\">Breezie Williams<\/a><\/a>\u00a0led the Raiders on the glass with eight rebounds, followed by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wsuraiders.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/grace-okih\/6594\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Grace Okih<\/a>\u00a0with seven.<\/p>\n<p>The Raiders and Titans exchanged buckets for the first 10 minutes, with the Raiders holding a narrow one-point lead after the first quarter. Wright State would outscore Detroit Mercy by six in the second quarter to take the lead and never look back.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Wright State kept its foot on the gas in the second half, outscoring Detroit Mercy by nine in the third quarter and one in the fourth quarter to keep the Titans in the rearview mirror.<\/p>\n<p>In the box score, Wright State led Detroit Mercy in rebounds (40-39), second chance points (10-9), and bench points (28-11). Meanwhile, the Raiders trailed the Titans in (24-40), and fast break points (2-10).<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nHORIZON LEAGUE RANKS<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nThe Raiders are sixth in the league with 1,725 points and seventh in points per game, averaging 66.3 points. The Raiders are getting it done from beyond the three-point line, shooting a league best 33.8% and knocking down 7.8 three-pointers per game.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nBALL SECURITY IS JOB SECURITY<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nThe Wright State offense has been taking care of the ball this season, averaging 13.9 turnovers per game, which ranks second in the Horizon League and 51st nationally. The Raiders also boast a 1.69 turnover margin, which ranks fourth in the Horizon League.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nBREEZIE LIKE A SUNDAY MORNING<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nSenior guard <a href=\"https:\/\/wsuraiders.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/breezie-williams\/6593\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6593\" target=\"_blank\">Breezie Williams<\/a> has made an immediate impact for the Raiders, averaging 12.5 points, 3.2 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per game in a Raider uniform. The Canton, Ohio, native is shooting 40.6% from the floor and 35.9% from three-point range. The senior is also getting it done on the defensive end of the floor, averaging 2.2 steals per game. In the Horizon League, Williams currently ranks ninth in points per game, fifth in field goal percentage, and tied for third in steals per game. On Saturday, January 19, Williams joined the 1,000 career-point club, scoring her 1,00th point on a layup with 42 seconds remaining in the first quarter.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nThe Bryant transfer had a breakout performance on the road at Tennessee State, dropping a then-career-high 27 points with three assists, three rebounds, and two blocks.\u00a0 She followed up her career night in Nashville with a 20-point performance against Wilberforce in just 14 minutes of action. Williams also finished one rebound and one steal short of a triple-double at Florida Atlantic, finishing with a career-high nine steals and nine rebounds. Williams has turned in a team-high six 20-point performances on the season, four of which have come in Horizon League play. Most recently, the senior set a new career-high after scoring 28 points against Purdue Fort Wayne Thursday night. Williams was on fire, shooting 85% from the floor and a perfect 5-5 from behind the three-point line.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nELLIE MAGIC<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nWright State&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/wsuraiders.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/ellie-magestro-kennedy\/6588\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6588\" target=\"_blank\">Ellie Magestro-Kennedy<\/a> has turned in six double-digit scoring performances in Horizon League play. The redshirt sophomore has scored 10 or more points against Green Bay (10), IU Indy (13), Youngstown State (17), Northern Kentucky (10), Detroit Mercy (16), and highlighted by a career-high 18 at Cleveland State. To go along with the scoring, Magestro-Kennedy has seen her role increase, playing 20+ minutes in seven of her last 10 games.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nThe redshirt sophomore was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes five years ago. Daily, she is required to check blood glucose (sugar) levels, administer and adjust insulin dosages, and calculate meal carbohydrates (regular and pre- and post-workout\/practice\/games).<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nCLAIRE CRASHING THE BOARDS<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/wsuraiders.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/claire-henson\/6587\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6587\" target=\"_blank\">Claire Henson<\/a> has been active in the paint for the Raiders, snagging 156 rebounds so far this season. Henson is sixth in the Horizon League with 6.5 rebounds per game. The senior has turned in 12 performances of at least seven rebounds and 10 or more three times.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nHenson also has a team high of three double-doubles. The senior has recorded double-doubles against Bellarmine (13 pts. and 12 reb.), Ohio (17 pts. and 15 reb. (career-high)), and Oakland (17 pts. and 10 reb.). Fellow senior <a href=\"https:\/\/wsuraiders.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/chloe-chard-peloquin\/6584\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6584\" target=\"_blank\">Chloe Chard Peloquin<\/a> recorded the only other double-double for the Raiders in the season opener against Butler (15 pts. and 11 rebs.).<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nRYLEE FROM RANGE<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nRedshirt sophomore guard <a href=\"https:\/\/wsuraiders.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/rylee-sagester\/6590\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6590\" target=\"_blank\">Rylee Sagester<\/a> is not only one of the best three-point shooters in the Horizon League but is one of the best in the country. The Alexandria, Ohio native is shooting a stellar 38.4% from beyond the arc, which is a team best. Sagester&#8217;s 48 three-pointers place her fourth in the Horizon League standings. Sagester has made more than one three-pointer in 17 of the Raiders&#8217; 26 games, highlighted by a pair of games with five made threes against Wilberforce and Bellarmine.\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nSIZING UP THE 2025-26 SQUAD<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nThe Raiders return nine players from last season while adding four newcomers (two transfers and two freshmen).<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nThe squad features four seniors, three juniors, four sophomores, and two freshmen. The roster also expands not only across the nation, with four different states represented (Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin), but across the globe, with three international student-athletes (England, Nigeria, Sweden).<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nUP NEXT<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nWright State will return home on Wednesday, February 18th, to host Milwaukee for its annual Pink Game.
