{"id":177532,"date":"2026-02-14T05:05:07","date_gmt":"2026-02-14T05:05:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/177532\/"},"modified":"2026-02-14T05:05:07","modified_gmt":"2026-02-14T05:05:07","slug":"mother-arrested-after-3-year-old-son-dies-from-blunt-force-trauma","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/177532\/","title":{"rendered":"Mother arrested after 3-year-old son dies from blunt force trauma"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Sacramento mother face homicide charges in the death of her 3-year-old son.<\/p>\n<p>SACRAMENTO, Calif. \u2014 The mother of a three-year-old boy who died was arrested in connection to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.abc10.com\/article\/news\/local\/sacramento\/3-year-old-sacramento-suspicious-death-investigation-identified\/103-47bbcd07-ece3-40cd-a243-76b0aac7c247\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">investigation of the child&#8217;s death,<\/a> according to the Sacramento Police Department.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Officers responded to a medical aid call after 12:30 p.m. Thursday in the 3300 block of Douglas Street in Sacramento&#8217;s Hagginwood neighborhood. Police said the boy was found inside the home with serious injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Despite life-saving efforts, the child was pronounced dead by fire personnel. Police said the boy had blunt force trauma. The Sacramento County coroner&#8217;s office identified him as Jeremiah Cash Carter.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators interviewed the boy&#8217;s mother, Brianna Butcher, 31.
