The Grizzlies fired back with a 6-1 win at No. 1, leaving the doubles point to the No. 2 match between Western Michigan&#8217;s Julia Fazier and Sienna Osborn against Oakland&#8217;s Nisa Bulut and Oliwia Klimas. Frazier and Osborn clinched the point for the Broncos with a 6-3 win.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Frazier put the Broncos up 2-0 with quick work at No. 6 singles, defeating Montreuil 6-1, 6-0. OU cut into the lead with a win at No. 2 by Klimas over <a href=\"https:\/\/wmubroncos.com\/sports\/womens-tennis\/roster\/audrey-smitek\/15538\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"15538\" target=\"_blank\">Audrey Smitek<\/a> 6-4, 6-3. <a href=\"https:\/\/wmubroncos.com\/sports\/womens-tennis\/roster\/lola-glantz\/15535\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"15535\" target=\"_blank\">Lola Glantz<\/a> pushed WMU&#8217;s lead to 3-1 with a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 1 over Bulut, but the Golden Grizzlies cut it back to one after Maryna Piechowicz beat Frieda Weijerman 6-2, 6-4 at No. 2.<\/p>\n<p>The remaining two singles matches went to three sets, with freshman <a href=\"https:\/\/wmubroncos.com\/sports\/womens-tennis\/roster\/ayana-yaguchi\/15720\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"15720\" target=\"_blank\">Ayana Yaguchi<\/a> earning the match-winning point for the Broncos after a 6-7, 6-4, 6-3 win over Emilia Jarvinen at No. 5. The victory was Yaguchi&#8217;s first of her career in a dual match.
