(FOX40.COM) \u2014 A man with a realistic fake gun was shot and killed by police after allegedly robbing a Sacramento bank in late January. Friday, police released the video footage of the incident.<\/p>\n

Authorities said they were responding to a robbery in progress at a bank in the 1600 block of Response Road around 4:20 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 29. In the video released by the Sacramento Police Department, bank employees can be seen handing over the cash register to a man in a green jacket.<\/p>\n

\u201cI believe there\u2019s a robbery in progress,\u201d a male caller can be heard telling dispatch.<\/p>\n
Additional responding officers located the man on the 1800 block of Exposition Boulevard and gave multiple commands to drop the gun, the video shows.<\/p>\n
The man was shot after pointing the gun at officers. The video provides multiple angles of the shooting.<\/p>\n
The man was rendered first aid at the scene by officers and later died at an area hospital, police said. No officers were injured.<\/p>\n
The pistol, later determined to be a realistic fake, was recovered at the scene.<\/p>\n
