FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) \u2014 Local flower vendors in Fresno say business is booming this season, and they credit community support for keeping sales strong.<\/p>\n
The surge is coming during a busy time of year when small businesses depend on foot traffic. <\/p>\n
This year, many vendors say customers are showing up in a big way.<\/p>\n
“Business has been great yeah yesterday we were starting at 3 o’clock in the morning same time,” Santiago Lopez, a young vendor, said. “We sold a bunch, it was pretty amazing my mom left early like at 8 o’clock so yeah and we’re back here selling again, see how much we can sell.”<\/p>\n
Vendors along Blackstone and Shaw avenues in Fresno reported steady crowds, strong sales and an increase in new customers buying flowers for their loved ones.<\/p>\n
While other markets may be seeing slowdowns, local vendors say shoppers in Fresno are making a point to invest in small businesses. <\/p>\n
