The mayor of Flavortown was spotted in the Sacramento area on Thursday, leading folks online to wonder what he was up to<\/a> in the City of Trees.<\/p>\n

Celebrity chef and TV personality Guy Fieri<\/a> met fans on Thursday evening in an Arden Arcade beverage store, promoting his tequila and mezcal brand developed in collaboration with rock singer Sammy Hagar.<\/p>\n

According to a news release, eager fans were able to take photos with Fieri and get an autographed bottle of his Santo Spirits tequila<\/a> at the Total Wine and More store<\/a> at 2121 Arden Way.<\/p>\n

Fieri and Hagar launched their joint tequila venture in 2019, working with a third-generation distiller in the birthplace of tequila: Jalisco, Mexico. The Santo Spirits brand includes blanco, overproof blanco, reposado and a\u00f1ejo tequilas, as well as a unique Mezquila<\/a> \u2014 a first-of-its-kind hybrid mezcal and tequila drink.<\/p>\n

Fieri is a celebrity chef and restaurateur who started his restaurant empire in Northern California with casual dining concepts. He\u2019s a Humboldt County native and spent time in Sacramento<\/a> at the Red Lion, according to previous Bee reporting. He graduated from American River College\u2019s culinary arts program before attending the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

In 2006, Fieri won Food Network\u2019s television competition show<\/a>, \u201cNext Food Network Star\u201d and was awarded his own series, the Emmy nominated \u201cGuy\u2019s Big Bite,\u201d according to his website bio.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s most well-known for his show \u201cDiners, Drive-ins and Dives\u201d which featured his iconic red Camaro and visited small restaurants across the U.S.<\/p>\n

Now he owns more than 80 restaurants under 17 different brands<\/a>, along with Flavortown Kitchen \u2014 a delivery-only brand that operates through apps like DoorDash and UberEats.<\/p>\n
