Oakland Schools is launching a new monthly education lifestyle vodcast, The Oakland Schools Insider, designed to elevate and highlight the powerful stories, innovative programs, and people.<\/p>\n
The premiere episode debuted Feb. 16, and will be available to the public on Oakland Schools\u2019 YouTube channel, website, and social media platforms. Episodes will also be shared with local and statewide partners.<\/p>\n
Hosted by Oakland Schools Superintendent Kenneth Gutman, the monthly vodcast will feature leadership conversations, district and Oakland Schools Technical Campus (OSTC) highlights, student and staff spotlights, and updates on key education topics.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Oakland Schools Insider gives us a new way to connect with our communities and share the incredible work happening in classrooms, programs, and partnerships across Oakland County,\u201d said Gutman. \u201cEach episode will spotlight the people and programs that make a difference for students and provide meaningful insights into the future of education.\u201d<\/p>\n
Episode one will include an interview with Superintendent of Birmingham Public Schools Embekka Roberson, a feature on the OSTC annual House Move showcasing hands-on construction and career readiness learning, and a special retirement tribute recognizing long-time Oakland Schools staff member Audrey McClellan.<\/p>\n
Oakland Schools invites districts, OSTC staff, and community partners to contribute story ideas, submit short video packages, or recommend guests for future episodes.<\/p>\n
