Margaret Marie Baptist passed away on January 31, 2026. She was born on September 30, 1939, in Oakland, California.<\/p>\n
Maggie was a 1957 graduate of Castlemont High School, remaining friends with her classmates and always enjoying reunions. When she began working in customer service in photo processing at Bennett\u2019s photo, it was a busy industry. She formed wonderful friendships with co-workers over many years. Her favorite and final career was as front office receptionist for the Oakland Athletics. Family and friends joined her enthusiasm for the team. Maggie celebrated 37 years with the A\u2019s when retiring in 2019. <\/p>\n
A large part of her heart was in Hawaii. She lived in Hawaii for a few fun filled years in the 60s and 70s and loved returning on vacations to spend time with her Hawaii family. Maggie also enjoyed cruising and casino trips with family and slot buddies. She was the fantastic hostess of famous \u201cgarage parties\u201d.<\/p>\n
There are not enough glowing adjectives to describe Maggie. When you met her, you knew you had an immediate loyal friend. <\/p>\n
Feeling great loss is her family of cherished nephews, nieces, and ALL great nephews and nieces, godchildren, cousins, and countless friends she kept throughout her life. Rest easy now, Aunty Maggie.<\/p>\n
A funeral service celebrating Margaret\u2019s life will be held on Thursday, March 5th at 1:00 pm at Holy Sepulchre Funeral Center in Hayward.
