{"id":179428,"date":"2026-02-15T21:33:08","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T21:33:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/179428\/"},"modified":"2026-02-15T21:33:08","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T21:33:08","slug":"robert-morris-avenges-blowout-loss-to-oakland-to-earn-4th-straight-victory","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/179428\/","title":{"rendered":"Robert Morris avenges blowout loss to Oakland to earn 4th straight victory"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Not this time.<\/p>\n<p>More than a month after taking its worst beating in Horizon League play, Robert Morris turned the tables Sunday on Oakland and handed the Golden Grizzlies their worst conference loss of the season.<\/p>\n<p>Nikolaos Chitikoudis scored 20 points with 13 rebounds, DeSean Goode added 18 points with 12 rebounds and Robert Morris broke loose from a close game with a second-half scoring explosion to rock Oakland, 93-69, at UPMC Events Center.<\/p>\n<p>It was an about-face from Oakland\u2019s 96-73 victory over Robert Morris on Jan. 4 in Rochester, Mich.<\/p>\n<p>Ryan Prather Jr. and Ta\u2019Zir Smith also scored 18 points each for Robert Morris (18-10, 10-7). Darius Livingston chipped in 15 for the Colonials, who won for the fourth consecutive time and seventh time in nine games.<\/p>\n<p>Ziare Wells led Oakland (14-13, 10-6) with 19 points. Brody Robinson added 16 points and Michael Hogue finished with 10.<\/p>\n<p>Robert Morris clung to a 42-38 halftime lead before outscoring Oakland in the second half, 51-31.<\/p>\n<p>The Colonials shot 58% to Oakland\u2019s 39% and outrebounded the Golden Grizzlies, 40-31.<\/p>\n<p>This story will be updated.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Not this time.
