SAN JOSE, Calif.\u2014Mikaela Pitts<\/a>, Victoria Kisch<\/a> and Genesis PeBenito<\/a> won individual titles, and the San Jos\u00e9 State gymnastics team recorded the 11th-highest team score in school history with a 196.350 to win a dual meet against Utah State (195.675).<\/p>\n

Pitts anchored the vault team with a 9.850 to win her second title of the season.
\nKisch won the bars, her first collegiate event title, in the second rotation with a season-high 9.90.
\nThe bars team recorded a 49.175, the seventh-highest bars score in school history. Devyn Valuch<\/a> scored a 9.850, followed by PeBenito and Kaviana Jurries<\/a> at 9.825, and Sophie Patterson<\/a> and Samantha Macasu<\/a> at 9.775.
\nThe beam team had its best score of the season with a 49.225, tying for the seventh-highest beam score in school history. Marissa Ashton<\/a> and Patterson each had a 9.875 to lead SJSU. Vaulch had a season-high 9.850, followed by PeBenito at 9.825, Mia Nelson<\/a> at 9.800, and Macasu at 9.750.
\nPeBenito won the floor with a season-best 9.850, and the floor team recorded a 49.050. Ashton had a 9.825, while Jurries and Ava Johnson<\/a> recorded a 9.800. Kaylee Larson<\/a> recorded a 9.775, and Nelson rounded it out with a 9.750.
\nThe 196.350 team score is the 11th-best in school history, and the first time any Spartan team has achieved that score.<\/p>\n

UP NEXT \u2013 The Spartans continue at home next Sunday, February 22, with a tri-meet against Air Force and UC Davis. The meet begins at 2 p.m., inside the Provident Credit Union Event Center. Tickets can be purchased at the Box Office on the day of the meet, and children 12 and under are free.<\/p>\n
