A man in his mid-50s was assaulted and robbed Sunday in Fresno.<\/p>\n

The alleged attack happened at 4:30 p.m. at the southeast corner of Bullard and Maroa Avenues, police said.<\/p>\n

Police said two men, believed to be in their 20s, approached the victim and began striking him with their fists. Police said the suspects may also have used a baseball bat during the assault.<\/p>\n

The suspects allegedly stole cash and a cell phone from the victim before fleeing the area on foot.<\/p>\n

The victim later sought medical treatment at a local hospital, reporting pain from the attack. His condition has not been released.<\/p>\n

Police are continuing to investigate and have not announced any arrests.<\/p>\n
