A red carpet was rolled out for those with wrinkles, fur, tails and paws both big and small this weekend.<\/p>\n

Accompanied by their human companions, dogs walked the carpet during the 21st annual National Bulldog Beauty Contest, which took place Sunday, Feb. 15, at Rosie\u2019s Dog Beach in Long Beach.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s event once again brought together dog owners from across Southern California and beyond to appreciate the beauty of their four-legged friends.<\/p>\n

The stubby and wrinkly features of English bulldogs and French bulldogs were on full display. Smiles could be seen on the faces of spectators and bulldogs alike.<\/p>\n

Besides the bulldog contests, there were 11 other categories in which all breeds could participate, including best tail, best senior dog, best siblings, best in show, best adopted\/rescued dogs, most handsome and prettiest.<\/p>\n
