A powerful winter storm is sweeping through Southern California Monday, bringing heavy rain, strong winds and snow.<\/p>\n

While the wet conditions caused a traffic headache for many<\/a>, a man in Long Beach had a bit of fun with the heavy flooding on the streets.<\/p>\n

Video shared with KTLA shows Hayden de Le\u00f3n surfing \u201call around the streets of the 90815 area,\u201d towed by a vehicle. \u201cWe\u2019re going to surf!\u201d he yelled before hopping on his board.<\/p>\n

De Le\u00f3n told KTLA that, while this is his first time street surfing in a few years, he used to do it all the time as a kid.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a blast,\u201d he said. \u201cI grew up wakeboarding, surfing, snowboarding\u2026 so this just fit right into the abundance of fun you can have out here in Southern California.\u201d<\/p>\n

Storm drains were overwhelmed across Los Angeles County on Monday amid torrential downpours, flooding streets and submerging vehicles in Long Beach, Burbank, Hollywood, North Hollywood and other areas.<\/p>\n

At least one person was rescued<\/a> after their car stalled in Sawtelle.<\/p>\n

A Flash Flood Warning continued in parts of Los Angeles County until 5 p.m.<\/p>\n
