Victoria Kafka Jones,<\/a> the daughter of actor Tommy Lee Jones<\/a>, died of the “toxic effects of cocaine,” and her death has been ruled an accident, the San Francisco Office of the Chief Medical Examiner announced Tuesday in a statement provided to People<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jones, 34, was found dead early on New Year’s Day at the Fairmont San Francisco hotel.<\/p>\n

The cause of death was acute cocaine toxicity, according to by the Medical Examiner’s office.<\/p>\n

San Francisco police and fire officials previously said they responded to a report of a medical emergency at the hotel at about 2:52 a.m. on Jan. 1. Upon arrival, first responders found an unresponsive woman who was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have consistently said they did not suspect foul play.<\/p>\n

In dispatch audio obtained by multiple media outlets at the time, the call was classified as a “code 3 for the overdose, color change.” Medical experts have said that “color change” can refer to cyanosis, a condition associated with low oxygen levels in the blood.<\/p>\n

Jones’ family released a statement the day after her death.<\/p>\n

“We appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, and prayers,” it said. “Please respect our privacy during this difficult time. Thank you.”<\/p>\n

Victoria Jones was the only daughter of Tommy Lee Jones<\/a>, 79, and his second wife, Kimberlea Cloughley. The former couple also share a son, Austin Jones.<\/p>\n

As a child, Jones appeared in several of her father’s films, including “Men in Black II” and “The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada,” and had a role in a 2005 episode of “One Tree Hill.”<\/p>\n

Court records show she had faced misdemeanor charges<\/a> in the past year, including drug-related offenses. She had pleaded not guilty in those cases, which remained pending at the time of her death.<\/p>\n
