SAN JOSE, Calif. – Nevada dropped a matchup on the road, 87-71, against San Jos\u00e9 State on Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n
Despite the Pack beating the Spartans in the paint, 32-14, and the bench battle, 15-11, San Jos\u00e9 State controlled the game from the start, shooting 52 percent from the field and 52 percent from threes.<\/p>\n
Corey Camper Jr.<\/a> led the way with 18 points, four assists, and three steals. Camper Jr. now has 1,000 career points. The Little Rock, Ark. native was followed by Elijah Price<\/a> (14) and Vaughn Weems<\/a> (11) in the double-digit points.<\/p>\n Price led the Pack on board play with seven rebounds while adding three steals on defense. Weems also made his impact on the Pack defense with 3 steals.<\/p>\n First Half: The Spartans built a 12-point lead after starting off with five three-pointers before the first media timeout.<\/p>\n SJSU continued its momentum, putting up its largest lead of the game, 18 points.<\/p>\n
\nNevada struggled from the start and was unable to stop San Jos\u00e9 State’s three-point game.<\/p>\n
