SAN JOSE, Calif. (Feb.\u00a018, 2026) \u2013\u00a0Canada Soccer announced today that Bay FC defenders Sydney Collins and Brooklyn Courtnall have been selected to its Women\u2019s National Team roster for the upcoming 2026 SheBelieves Cup, scheduled for March 1 to March 7.\u00a0Making its fourth SheBelieves Cup appearance,\u00a0Canada will\u00a0take on\u00a0Argentina,\u00a0Colombia, and the United States\u00a0in the\u00a0eleventh edition of the annual invitational tournament, which will be staged in\u00a0Nashville,\u00a0Tenn.,\u00a0Columbus,\u00a0Ohio\u00a0and Harrison, N.J.\u00a0Collins and Courtnall are among three Bay FC players slated to feature at the tournament, with midfielder Claire Hutton<\/a> named to the United States\u2019 roster earlier this week.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The selection marks each player\u2019s first of 2026. Collins earns her third call-up by Canada since joining Bay FC\u00a0last season, having joined\u00a0Les Rouges\u00a0twice in 2025\u00a0for the October<\/a>\u00a0and November\/December<\/a>\u00a0international windows. She previously helped Canada secure qualification for the 2024 Paris Olympics, earning six caps\u00a0in 2023.\u00a0She made her return to the pitch for her country in November, coming on as a substitute vs. Japan\u00a0in friendly action.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Courtnall\u2019s selection marks\u00a0her\u00a0first\u00a0to a national team program since 2022 and the first\u00a0of her career\u00a0at\u00a0the senior\u00a0international\u00a0level.\u00a0While in college at USC, she joined Canada\u2019s U-20\u2019s\u00a0at the\u00a02022 Concacaf U-20 Championship, scoring\u00a0two goals\u00a0as\u00a0her squad\u00a0reached the semifinal.\u00a0She appeared in three matches\u00a0(two starts)\u00a0at the\u00a02022 U-20 World Cup in Costa Rica later that year\u00a0as Canada faced off against South Korea, France, and Nigeria.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 2026 SheBelieves Cup takes on a Concacaf vs. CONMEBOL slant\u00a0as the United States\u00a0hosts\u00a0the tournament\u2019s\u00a0eleventh\u00a0edition. The U.S.\u00a0is currently ranked second in the world,\u00a0with\u00a0Canada\u00a010th, Colombia\u00a020th\u00a0and Argentina 30th.\u00a0Canada\u00a0will take the pitch\u00a0opposite Colombia\u00a0in the tournament\u2019s opening match\u00a0March 1 at\u00a011 a.m. PT\u00a0from GEODIS Park in Nashville, before\u00a0taking\u00a0on\u00a0the U.S.\u00a0in Columbus\u00a0March\u00a04\u00a0at 3:45 p.m. PT,\u00a0and Argentina March\u00a07 at 9:30 a.m. PT\u00a0from\u00a0New Jersey.\u00a0All matches at the tournament will broadcast live\u00a0in the United States\u00a0on truTV, HBO Max, Universo and Peacock.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
