{"id":18446,"date":"2025-10-22T21:25:06","date_gmt":"2025-10-22T21:25:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/18446\/"},"modified":"2025-10-22T21:25:06","modified_gmt":"2025-10-22T21:25:06","slug":"woman-on-scooter-killed-in-crash-identified-as-ramona-resident-san-diego-union-tribune","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/18446\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman on scooter killed in crash identified as Ramona resident \u2013 San Diego Union-Tribune"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Authorities have publicly identified a woman who was killed last weekend when a car struck the mobility scooter she was riding on a dimly lit thoroughfare in Ramona.<\/p>\n<p>Kathleen Mess, 76, of Ramona was heading north on Main Street about 4:55 a.m. Sunday when a 2014 Toyota Camry hit her motorized three-wheeler from behind near Julian Street, according to the Medical Examiner\u2019s Office and California Highway Patrol.<\/p>\n<p>The impact ejected Mess onto the roadway.
