This year, Valentine\u2019s Day accompanied a series of winter storms that swept through Southern California \u2014 with a particularly strong wind gust blowing over a tree at Disneyland.<\/p>\n
A Las Vegas couple sustained minor injuries after a tree fell in the park late Tuesday night.<\/p>\n
Disneyland officials stated that a tree fell near Main Street U.S.A., toppling onto the patio of the Plaza Inn around 11:40 p.m. Due to the rain, no visitors were sitting on the patio.<\/p>\n
Two guests who were in the vicinity were treated by park first aid for minor grazes. The couple, Mark and Lewanda Joseph from Nevada, were in town for Disneyland\u2019s after-dark Valentine\u2019s Day themed event. <\/p>\n
The pair both stated they\u2019re grateful for the quick response from medical personnel and that this incident won\u2019t keep them away from the park.<\/p>\n
The Disneyland Fire Department were quick to respond to the scene, and the fallen tree was removed overnight.<\/p>\n
