Police say a pedestrian was killed last night by a pickup truck speeding near the Rose Park neighborhood.<\/p>\n
The crash happened shortly before 10:50 p.m. Wednesday on Seventh Street just east of Cherry Avenue, according to Long Beach police.<\/p>\n
Police said a 2007 Toyota Tundra pickup was heading eastbound in the right lane when it struck a man who had \u201cwalked in between two parked cars and into the roadway,\u201d police said.<\/p>\n
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he died, police said. The man\u2019s name was withheld pending family notification. His age was not immediately available.<\/p>\n
The pickup driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.<\/p>\n
It was the second deadly crash in Long Beach<\/a> within the span of a few hours.
