(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 The Kern County Coroner\u2019s Office has identified a <a href=\"https:\/\/bakersfieldnow.com\/news\/local\/at-least-one-dead-after-solo-vehicle-rollover-crash-near-lost-hills-california-highway-patrol-kern-county\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">man who died after a solo-vehicle crash on Halloween along Interstate 5 <\/a>as 32-year-old Amir Reza Khazaieli of Sacramento.<\/p>\n<p>The California Highway Patrol said on Friday, October 31, 2025, at around 5:38 a.m., officers were called to a solo-vehicle crash on Interstate 5, north of Lerdo Highway.<\/p>\n<p>CHP said a preliminary investigation found that a 30-year-old Sacramento woman was driving a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser northbound in the number one lane of I-5, north of Lerdo Highway, at about 70 miles per hour.<\/p>\n<p>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/bakersfieldnow.com\/news\/local\/at-least-one-dead-after-solo-vehicle-rollover-crash-near-lost-hills-california-highway-patrol-kern-county\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">One dead, one injured after solo-vehicle rollover crash near Lost Hills<\/a><\/p>\n<p>According to CHP, for reasons still under investigation, the driver of the Toyota allowed her vehicle to veer to the right into the number two lane, and abruptly back to the number one lane. The Toyota then veered back to the right into the number two lane and continued off the roadway onto the shoulder where it rolled over and came to rest on its wheels.<\/p>\n<p>CHP said the right front passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>The Kern County Coroner\u2019s Office identified the passenger as 32-year-old Amir Reza Khazaieli of Sacramento.<\/p>\n<p>The 1-year-old girl, who was a passenger in the back seat of the Toyota, was not hurt. The driver of the Toyota sustained minor injuries.<\/p>\n<p>All seatbelts and a car seat were determined to be utilized at the time of the crash.<\/p>\n<p>CHP said alcohol and\/or drugs do not appear to be a factor in this crash.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"BAKERSFIELD, Calif.
