The centre-back last represented Canada at the U-20 level and was a member of the squad at the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women\u2019s World Cup. Courtnall is the daughter of former Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens star Russ Courtnall.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The four-team tournament gets underway on Mar. 1 and will see Canada take on the United States, Colombia and Argentina.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cThis is an important moment for our program and for every player in this group,\u201d Stoney said in a statement. \u201cWorld Cup qualification at the end of the year is our priority, and the SheBelieves Cup will provide meaningful, high-level matches that will test us and prepare us for the challenges ahead. We\u2019ve selected a squad that combines players who have proven themselves with emerging talents who bring energy, determination, and the potential to make an immediate impact. Each match will be an opportunity to push ourselves, learn, and continue building the team we need to be for 2027.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Returning to the team is Utah Royals forward Clo\u00e9 Lacasse. The 32-year-old Sudbury, Ont. native ruptured her ACL in the fall of 2024. She made her return last summer, appearing in 701 minutes of action over eight games, scoring one goal. Lacasse has six goals in 39 appearances for Canada.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Not in the team due to injury are Aston Villa goalkeeper Sabrina D\u2019Angelo, defender Kadeisha Buchanan of Chelsea, Ipswich\u2019s Lysanne Proulx, Manchester United\u2019s Jayde Riviere and Shelina Zadorsky of West Ham.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Canada opens its tournament against Colombia on Mar. 1 in Nashville before relocating to Columbus for a Mar. 4 match against the USWNT. Their tourney concludes on Mar. 7 versus Argentina in Harrison, NJ. This will be Canada\u2019s fourth appearance at the tournament.
