Highlights from Bad Bunny\u2019s Super Bowl halftime show <\/a><\/p>\n The program was called \u201cBad Bunny: Moving Bodies and Making Politics\u201d and was put on by the university\u2019s Institute of Arts and Humanities.<\/p>\n The conversation was centered around a new book titled \u201cP FKN R: How Bad Bunny Became the Global Voice of Puerto Rican Resistance,\u201d co-authored by Dr. Vanessa Diaz.<\/p>\n According to the event website<\/a>, the book explores Bad Bunny\u2019s career, his musical genre and the political and cultural context that shapes his music.<\/p>\n The talk was hosted by Diaz and Dr. Jade Power-Sotomayor, a \u201cCali-Rican scholar<\/a>\u201d and Assistant Professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance at UC San Diego.<\/p>\n Benito Antonio Mart\u00ednez Ocasio, better known as Bad Bunny, broke into the music industry as a Latin trap artist.<\/p>\n As his career flourished, he developed his own music style that reflects his Puerto Rican identity and culture.<\/p>\n In February, he made history with his album \u201cDeb\u00ed Tirar M\u00e1s Fotos,\u201d becoming the first Spanish-language album to win the\u00a0Grammy\u00a0Award\u00a0for Album of the Year.
