There will be a lot of shopping for endorsements Friday at the Moscone Center in San Francisco as it hosts the California Democratic Convention.<\/p>\n
California’s Democrats officially will be welcomed to the convention at 11 a.m. Friday.<\/p>\n
That kicks off a day of committee and caucus meetings and a welcome reception later in the evening.<\/p>\n
A big highlight will be the dinner honoring former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, which is taking place Saturday night at the Marriott Marquis.<\/p>\n
It’s a moment for Democrats in California to get together, strategize and plan for the months ahead.<\/p>\n
It’s also significant for candidates’ endorsements.<\/p>\n
There are some big political races this year, including Pelosi’s congressional seat and California’s gubernatorial race.<\/p>\n
