The Garden Grove Unified School District has been honored with so many awards and accolades in recent years, it may become necessary to build a new trophy case.<\/p>\n

Mostly recently, the GGUSD has been named a recipient of the first Carnegie Award for Impact, a national honor recognizing \u201csignificant and sustained improvement in high school student success.\u201d<\/p>\n

A highlight of these efforts is the Freshman on Track initiative, which supports students during the pivotal ninth-grade year.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis national recognition reflects the extraordinary work happening in our schools every day,\u201d said Board of Education President Bob Harden. \u201cOur educators and staff continue to strengthen systems, collaborate across campuses, and provide targeted support to students during one of the most critical years of their academic journey. We are proud of the impact this work is having on student success.\u201d<\/p>\n

The GGUSD serves most of Garden Grove, as well as parts of Anaheim, Cypress, Fountain Valley, Santa Ana, Stanton and Westminster.<\/p>\n
