SAN JOSE, Calif. \u2013 The University of San Francisco beach volleyball team (1-1) kicked off the 2026 season on the road and split two dual matches against Santa Clara (2-0) and San Jose State (0-2) on Friday at Spartan Beach.

\n\tIn the 3-2 win over San Jose State, the top three doubles flights earned victories to pace the program. Kaydence Stormes<\/a> and McKenna led the way at the first doubles flight, registering a 21-19, 24-22 straight-set victory.
\n\tThe second and third doubles flights posted three-set victories, led by Jia Lonardi<\/a> and Rainie Steven with a 12-21, 21-19, 15-13, come-from-behind win. Branson Lennon<\/a> and Rylie Reeves<\/a> picked up a three-set win at 21-17, 17-21, 15-10.
