JIM DAVIS<\/p>\n<p>The Rockvale and Oakland girls\u2019 basketball teams will play for titles next week in the District 10-4A tournament at Siegel.<\/p>\n<p>Rockvale\u2019s girls survived Riverdale 46-38, while the Oakland girls defeated Siegel 58-22.<\/p>\n<p>In 9-4A, La Vergne and Smyrna girls will tip at 6 p.m. for third place, and Blackman and Stewarts Creek will play at 7:30 p.m. Monday for the title.<\/p>\n<p>The Rockvale girls jumped to a 10-point halftime lead behind foul shooting and solid defense. Riverdale made a run in the second half, cutting it to six, four and then one point with two minutes to go. However, Rockvale made enough plays and hit free throws to win.<\/p>\n<p>There were 35 fouls called in the game \u2013 13 in the first half and 22 in the second half. Riverdale was whistled 24 times while Rockvale only had the whistle blown 11.<\/p>\n<p>Three players scored in double figures for the Rockets. Caydence Thomas had 15, Zaniiya Tiller 14 and Amaya Nash 13.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe stepped up and made plays,\u201d Rockvale coach Perry Lyons said. \u201cWhen we can get three to four scoring in double figures, we\u2019re tough to beat.
